Last month Nintendo held the “Maximus Cup” event in the Switch-exclusive Tetris 99, a timed event which had the top 999 players walk away with 999 free Gold My Nintendo points, which equates to $9.99 in eShop credit. It must have done well for them, as another Maximus Cup is being held a month later,
