Today’s Sega Fes streams have brought us some big Mario + Sonic and Mega Drive Mini news drops, but there was still some time to squeeze in some Sega Ages reveals. M2’s series of classic Switch ports has been slowly but surely been expanding, and another six titles have been announced under the label. This time around there’s an even heavier emphasis on arcade games, and you can check out the full list below:

  • Shinobi (Arcade, 1987)
  • Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Arcade, 1987)
  • Fantasy Zone (Arcade, 1986)
  • Puzzle & Action: Tant-R (Arcade, 1993)
  • Herzog Zwei (Genesis, 1989)
  • G-LOC: Air Battle (Arcade, 1990)

The selection covers quite a range of genres, with Herzon Zwei being one of the first ever real-time strategy games, while G-LOC was designed by the legendary Yu Suzuki of Outrun and Shenmue fame. It’s worth noting that Tant-R has only received an English localization once before, as part of 2005’s Sega Classics Collection, so the chances of it in particular heading west seem up in the air.

Hopefully we’ll start getting more solid release dates for the upcoming slate of Sega Ages games soon!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
