Yesterday saw first PlayStation: State of Play video, which had a few announcements that spread across platforms. One of the biggest was the revelation that this summer’s Crash Team Racing re-make, subtitled Nitro-Fueled, would be getting “all thirteen” tracks from its sequel, Crash Nitro Kart for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. This is rather noteworthy as Nitro Kart was developed by a completely different developer to the original PS1 title – Vicarious Visions, rather than Naughty Dog.

The same State of Play video also revealed that the PS4 version will get some exclusive nifty polygonal variants on three characters, but the trailer also contains a glimpse at the new (old?) Nitro Kart tracks. Check it out below:

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled launches for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on June 21st.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
