BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s arcade update will be hitting Japan sometime this spring, with its four additional characters due on consoles at some point as DLC. We’ve seen BlazBlue’s Naoto Kurogane and Persona 4 Arena’s Teddie already, but stepping into the ring today we’ve got Under Night In-Birth’s Seth, as well as the surprise addition herself, Arcana Heart’s Heart Aino.

Seth’s playstyle revolves around being as quick as possible and overwhelming his opponent, with moves that can close gaps and keep pressure on. Aiding in that, his projectile comes out on a long delay. It might seem disadvantageous that it would take so long to hit, but as a combo tool it’s invaluable as long as you’re mindful of the timing and your own attack’s stun duration.

Heart, on the other hand, is a little less technical but no less effective. Her simpler attacks pair well with her energetic nature, though she has mobility tools to both help with approach and to follow up bigger hits to stay on your opponent. Befitting her series, she comes with the Arcana of Love Partinias which’ll give her access to both a slow projectile and a more immediate laser to create your own openings from a distance.

Now that these last two have been spotlighted, we’re just waiting on a release date and potential word on what the game’s next additions may be. Look forward to their eventual release, and be on the lookout for more information on BBTag updates as they come.
