Blood, ballet, and bananas — My Friend Pedro is a wacky time. After debuting at E3 last year, the strangely elegant and stylish score-shooter was featured today in the Nindie Spring Showcase, where we finally got a (rough) release date of June.

For those unfamiliar, My Friend Pedro is a 2D-action-platformer where you flip, kick, and spin across the stage while racking up score combos and attempt to kill baddies in increasingly creative and zany ways, while egged on by an apparently sentient banana named Pedro. As somebody who got their hands on the bullet-rain beauty last year at PAX, I’m looking forward to triple somersaulting into foes’ faces now more than ever.
