If you’re looking for a fun, Pokémon-related weekend project, you might want to check out this video we found by Lego YouTuber hachiroku24.

Not entirely unlike the Mega Construx figures you might see around GameStop and other retailers with Pokémon merchandise, this brilliant Lego creator has recently dove into creating Pokémon entirely out of bricks.

According to the video description, the Bulbasaur recreation actually happened by accident — he was experimenting with anime-style eyes via Lego and realized that what he’d come up with look strikingly familiar to a certain Pokémon’s eyes…

And Bulbasaur was born.

From an objective standpoint, the creation is impressive in terms of accuracy, execution, and creativity. I know I would have never been able to figure out how to build something like a Bulbasaur, but I suppose that’s why you’ve gotta hand it to big Lego creators like this. They know what they’re doing.

A quick scroll through his channel shows us that he doesn’t adventure into Nintendo properties very often (he did tackle Mario just over a year ago!), but his content brings a lot of other nerdy fun, from other video games to superheroes and comics to big franchises like Star Wars and The Walking Dead. His creations have garnered him a following of 60,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 4,000 on Instagram, where he posts photos of all his work when he’s done.

If you’re looking to build this ‘saur yourself, the video on his channel is a step-by-step instruction guide, which shows you everything from the bricks you need to how to assemble them. Take a look!
