The next Spirit Board event has been announced, this time being a shared theme versus something more series specific. And that theme? Metal. Cold, lustrous metal from the far corners of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s many universes. Bring on the Mechon, shine up the Steel types, round up the robots, and keep that metal cap on tight starting Thursday night.

It’s a wide range of characters here, and personally I’m enjoying those events more than ones that focus on just one franchise. It keeps the “you never know who’s next” feel the Spirit Board manages to capture, but even then you just know that at some point Gordo will get you. As usual you can fight for these and their bonus rewards starting the night of February 28th and through the weekend.
