Only in the process of chronicling the various entries that Final Fantasy has had over the years do you realize how bugnuts some of the naming schemes can get. Why would you combine Roman and Arabic numerals so brazenly? Why does one HD remaster get a subtitle while the other is… just an HD remaster? Well, if there’s anything I’ve learned from Square Enix over the years, it’s that you shouldn’t question their naming conventions unless you want your brain to hurt (lest we remember Kingdom Hearts II.8 Final Chapter Prologue).

Anyways, you can check out two new trailers for upcoming Nintendo Switch ports of Final Fantasy X/X-2 (the one(s) with the hyperactive underwater soccer player that releases April 16th) and Final Fantasy XII (the one that’s Star Wars except not in space that releases April 30th) below:
