Data strings for Super Nintendo games discovered within the Nintendo Entertainment System app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers last month have disappeared following its latest update.
The news comes from Twitter user @itssimontime, a self-described dataminer, who tweeted the following:

Their tweet was then retweeted by dataminer @KapuccinoHeck, our source for our original article about the uncovered SNES game data.
22 Super Nintendo game titles were found within the data for the Nintendo Entertainment System app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, which arose speculation that SNES games would be coming to the service in the future.
Games like Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Mario World, and Star Fox 2 were among the titles discovered last month.
Why these data strings have been removed in the app’s latest update is unknown, but stay connected to Nintendo Wire for more information as it becomes available!
