The ’90s were filled with role playing games on all fronts. While console gamers were typically enjoying the latest grand adventures from Japan, those with personal computers were diving deep into the traditional western Dungeons & Dragons fantasy worlds of Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and more.

Earlier today, Beamdog and Skybound Games confirmed that they’d be bringing a bunch of these classic RPGs to consoles in 2019, and now it’s been announced that Switch is one of the target platforms.

While most of these games were originally built around mouse and keyboard controls, modern games like Divinity: Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity that were heavily inspired by them have managed to adapt to traditional console controllers in recent years.

Hopefully we’ll find out release dates for these beloved classics soon.
