Last year, Take-Two brought Paradox’s beloved Civilization series to the Nintendo Switch, with the latest mainline entry. After the publisher’s latest financial report, CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that the Switch port “significantly exceeded expectations”, and provided the following quote to GameIndustry.biz:

“We felt good about the platform and we put the titles on Switch that we felt were going to perform well. We are excited about continuing to support the Switch for the right kind of properties.”

On top of Civilization, Take-Two also released WWE 2K19, NBA 2K19, NBA 2K Playgrounds, and Carnival Games last year, while 2017 saw L.A. Noire hit the system.

Other Take-Two published franchises include Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands, and XCOM. Hopefully we’ll find out soon if these are the “right kind of properties” for Switch in 2019.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
