Despite the announcement of Splatoon 2 ceasing new content support in December, several new weapons, plus a demo, have been announced for the game!
10 returning “Sheldon’s Picks” weapons from the first Splatoon game for Wii U will be arriving via a free update: the Aerospray PG, N-ZAP ’83, Grim Range Blaster, Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose, Soda Slosher, Heavy Splatling Remix, Sploosh-o-matic 7, Fresh Squiffer, Permanent Inkbrush, and Bamboozler 14 Mk III.
Additionally, the Japanese Splatoon Twitter account mentions some further content coming to the game, but didn’t provide details on what that might be.
A demo version of Splatoon 2 will also be launching this March, running for a week and allowing players to play Turf War, Ranked Battle, and Salmon Run matches.
Demo participants can be matched up with those who own the full game, and save data can be transferred over to the full game, as well.
No date was provided for the 10 “Sheldon’s Picks” weapons, but the Splatoon 2 “Special Demo” will be available from March 26th to April 1st.
