The start of the year is always a little light on announcements, as companies return to work from the holidays and get ready for another 12 months of promotion. One of the first major events that’ll feature updates is PAX South, taking place in San Antonio, Texas next weekend, and we already know one company that’ll be sharing news – NIS America.

As Siliconera reports, a press release confirms that a new game will be announced the day before the event starts on January 17th, which’ll be followed up with a panel on the 18th. Here’s the full quote:

“Happy 2019! It feels awesome greeting you in the new year, dood! What’s even greater is that we have a new title announcement coming up January 17th, with a follow-up panel at PAX South on the 18th at 11 AM CST in Falcon Theatre!

While NIS America is probably best known for Disgaea, the publisher has had a hand in bringing many different franchises to the west, from Killer 7 on Steam to Ys VIII and even Danganronpa. We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-speed if the new title is confirmed for Switch.
