Kirby Star Allies updates may have come to a stop, but the official Twitter account for the little puffball is still serving up bits of info and artwork for fans of his latest adventure. The newest one shows different potential colors that were tested out for the Parallel series of bosses from the game’s newest mode, Heroes in Another Dimension. In the game itself they’re nearly all predominantly black with other colored highlights. These other takes show a wider variety and feel altogether though. Have a look for yourself:

The most drastic variant has to be with Kracko, featuring a multicolored take on the cloud boss, as well as a version that was pure purple. Whispy Woods also had some surprise potential looks, including a stark white tree with blue leaves for a winter blasted vibe. The pinks aren’t too out of the ordinary for the series’ tree based bosses though, which is really saying something.

Maybe it’s their place in Smash Bros., but seeing Meta Knight and Dedede with all these different colors doesn’t seem strange. A pure white Meta Knight would’ve been an interesting take on the character, and actually manages the previously mentioned Whispy Woods down to the blue details. Most notable with Dedede is that some of these designs change his eyes to pure white or red, with all of thee somehow making him more penguin-like than his normal blue color.

Last up are the Three Mage-Sisters, who bring some interesting deviations from the rest of the bosses. In-game they were the only ones in white, but they also had a design that was more in line with the chosen colors of the finalized Another Dimension style. Two out of the three also changed their clothes to their signature colors rather than black, with their hair and bodies going more monochrome instead.

There’s no knowing what else might pop up for Star Allies or otherwise when it comes to Kirby, so keep your eyes on the stars and look forward to what comes next.
