It had previously been all but announced, but we now know for certain – another game from Tomoya Asano, the producer of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler, is on the way.
After a tease in August that suggested more from the Bravely series, @BDFF_OFFICIAL confirmed that a new game is on its way. No other details have been provided, like platform, release window, or even a name, but since the studio’s output has practically exclusively been on Nintendo platforms I think the Switch is a logical system to place stakes on. While it’s easy to assume that this is the much awaited Bravely Third, there is a possibility it’s some sort of spinoff or tie-in, as the game has had mobile entries before, or, albeit less likely given the prior tease, a new IP altogether.
