Hidden among the countless announcements and teasers at The Game Awards was another game coming to Nintendo Switch. Dauntless, a free-to-play action RPG currently available on PC, will be journeying to even more platforms in 2019.

After appearing on Epic Games Store, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in April next year, Phoenix Labs will be plotting course for the Switch and mobile devices. Even better, cross-play is the ultimate goal for Dauntless in 2019:

“One Dauntless will provide players with a universal ecosystem centered around their personal Dauntless experience. Players will be able to enjoy cross-platform hunts with their friends whether they are playing on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch or mobile devices. When a player logs into their One Dauntless account, they will retain all of their progression, customization and purchased items across all supported platforms.”

As for what Dauntless is, the game brings you a world where you’ll be slaying monsters known as Behemoths. A “[p]owerful, wild, and ravenous for the aether that holds the Shattered Isles aloft, Behemoths are a threat to our very existence. Team up with other Slayers to confront these massive beasts before they consume what’s left of our world.”
