We’re finally here in the home stretch of what has been one of the shorter turnarounds — yet longest waits — for a Nintendo title. After its full reveal at E3 2018, or even its initial tease earlier in the year, the trudge towards the biggest gaming crossover and the culmination of decades of characters and history is nearly at an end. Nintendo and other companies are counting down the days, the blog posts are winding down, and each and every one of us is trying to make this next week go by as fast as possible.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is almost here.
Whether you’ve wanted to battle with the Belmonts since they first took on the night, dreamed that Ridley and K. Rool could crush their rivals for once, or just want to see Isabelle’s never ending optimism and civic duty put to the test, there’s so much within that little game cartridge to look forward to. So call up your friends, clean off those GameCube controllers, carve a misaligned cross into every pizza in sight, and get ready for the fight of your life.
