Joining the other racetracks in Team Sonic Racing now and maintaining this streak is Whale Lagoon, a beachside spot with plenty of sun for your winter blues. Not to mention another Sonic staple in the form of an orca that just won’t stay underwater for long, though whether or not it’ll be chasing after anyone this time around remains to be seen.

The music’s a fairly straightforward take on the area’s standard theme but with re-recorded guitar and some electro flourishes for good measure. The second half takes a slightly different turn though to try and keep things fresh for anyone who’s heard this one more than a few times over the years. It captures the vibe and brings a driving feel to this driving game thanks once again to the pairing of Jun Senoue and Hyper Potions.

You’ll be able to hear the full version once Team Sonic Racing pulls up to the gate later in 2019.
