As a lifelong Kirby fan, seeing old favorites come back in Star Allies has been a treat. The latest update though is rounding up more contemporary comrades and co-stars and at the forefront is who might be the most popular of them all. Magolor, the cosmic mischief maker at the heart of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, is back for another appearance and with today’s video we get a better look at what we can do:

Though he’s based on Marx in a lot of ways, Magolor’s magic works quite a bit differently. He’ll be floating around the stage and firing off spells, as well as turning himself into a projectile with some deft aerial antics. He hasn’t flown like that since he raced Kirby a bit during the 20th Anniversary, though he’s also got moves that shout out his recent stint as a shopkeeper in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe.

Just because he’s not wearing the Master Crown here doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some of his more powerful abilities to share either. He’ll be able to summon the Ultra Sword, open up wormholes, and even summon the Lor Starcutter to sent friends on a ride. It’s a good thing he’s on Kirby’s side from the get go here, or at least he will be when the update drops on November 30th.
