Last Smash Direct, Sakurai lead the debut of Assist Trophies with a surprising addition from one of Nintendo’s more frightening and supernatural corners. Yuri Kozukata, the lead of the Wii U’s Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, is ready to grab a few photos to remember her time in Smash.
Of course, that’s no ordinary camera. The Camera Obscura is able to exorcise ghosts and spirits whenever it manages to photograph them. While that forms the crux of Fatal Frame, here in Smash it works just a little differently. Any fighter caught in its viewfinder will be frozen in place and made a prime target for whoever brought this girl to the battlefield.
