Yesterday was midterm elections here in the US, and if there’s anyone who’d be happy to do something as American as vote it’s the man with the stars and stripes tattooed on both his shoulders. Coming in like a Fierce Sonic Boom from full screen, Guile’s Theme has come to Smash along with the colonel himself as an Assist Trophy.

Sure, you’ve heard it before, but did you catch that synth? This one’s got layer’s stacked higher than Guile’s flattop and’ll hold down-back as long as it has to to make you hum along. It’s a seminal piece of gaming music, and humor, that truly goes with everything. Courtesy of frequent Sega composer Yuzo Koshiro, you can add Smash to that list.
