Sega Ages, the company’s new initiative to bring perfect ports of classic games to the Nintendo Switch, got off to a rocky start, with the first batch of games being delayed from August into September. Sega’s goal to have a new game live every month was almost at risk too, as October almost passed by without an addition, but thankfully Phantasy Star is here to save face at the last minute.

The official Japanese website for the port confirms that the classic Master System JRPG will launch in Japan on October 31st. It will feature various extras like a bestiary and the option to switch between two versions of the soundtrack.

Chances are the game will launch worldwide on the same date, like the previous batch, so be sure to check it out if you want to see how one of Sega’s first RPGs got its start.
