During the last Smash Direct, Director Masahiro Sakurai made note of just how much Castlevania music was coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s an unprecedented amount for a third party series, but it’s absolutely deserved. This week via Smash Blog we get to hear another of these renditions, and it’s none other than one of Symphony of the Night’s finest pieces.

Lost Painting in its original version carries a certain otherworldly elegance, fitting for a game where you control a vampire in a gothic castle setting. It’s left an impression on many a player, though it’ll be carrying a different identity entirely for Smash. Still featuring elements and flourishes in line with the original, this one’s using a guitar to carry the melody to guide you through the chapels and caverns of Dracula’s dwelling.
