The next evolution of the Yo-Kai Watch franchise has been postponed slightly in Japan, with the upcoming Switch entry being pushed out of Winter 2018 to a Spring 2019 window, according to the latest issue of CoroCoro.

Given that the game is a pretty massive leap forward from its 3DS predecessors, with a much more detailed world, it’s not too surprising. The delay may also work out great for those of us in the west, who will finally be catching up with the franchise as the last mainline entry, Yo-Kai Watch 3, is localized for Europe this winter and North America in February 2019.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on Yo-Kai Watch 4’s release schedule as more information is shared.
