At this point 2018 has become the “year of the Metroidvania”, despite having neither a new Metroid nor Castlevania. Indie developers have been picking up the slack in their place, and the Switch in particular has been getting a lot of love, with a library of explore-a-thons that’s about to expand even more as Bit Kid finally adds its game Chasm to the collection next week.

The main selling points of Chasm are its very fluid animations and procedurally generated areas that slot together pre-made rooms to make the experience unique on every play through.

You’ll be able to grab Chasm next Thursday, October 11th.
