Just weeks away from the release of The World Ends With You: Final Remix and months from the highly anticipated (though sadly not Nintendo bound) Kingdom Hearts 3, the designer of all these characters, Tetsuya Nomura, has released a new piece of art alongside a message for fans of both:
Special message by Tetsuya Nomura for the JP launch of The World Ends with You: Final Remix: “Thanks for a great TGS! Many #KH developers worked on #TWEWY, whose cast also appeared in #KH2.8. To further enjoy #KH2.8, please give #TWEWY a go!” #TWEWY launches in Oct in the West! pic.twitter.com/ZJ3yOkiipV

This marks the second time that Sora and the TWEWY cast have crossed paths, previously meeting in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance on 3DS. Nomura’s current style suits the characters well, contrasting nicely from their usual, more stylized look. Seeing this and some previous comments on the series have me more hopeful for a sequel than ever, but for now we can keep looking forward to their October 12th’s Switch debut.
