Video game speedrunner Kosmicd12 just set a new world record for the original Super Mario Bros.! Clocking in at 4:55.913, Kosmic executed a new trick in World 1-2 to set the new mark.

In the full video of the speedrun, Kosmic said this is likely the final second barrier to ever be broken in this game. It’s really interesting to watch his own commentary as he sets the new record. Will this new record ever be broken? We all know other speedrunners will give it their best shot!
