Splatoon 2’s list of songs and bands just keeps growing with every update, and joining that lineup is the first post-Squid-Octo era artist. Called SashiMori (at least in Japan), this three piece band recruited a genius Octoling DJ to help define their sound. This ten year-old wunderkind is taking them to new heights, with hot samples and cuts to run over the band’s own sound. If you caught the Version 4.0 trailer, you already heard one of their songs, too:

It’s a great look into their style, with distorted vocals playing off each other and plenty of turntable action complementing the entire song.

Together, they add to the in-game variety while carrying what can only be called “the Splatoon sound” — instantly recognizable, and certified fresh.
