Tokyo Game Show 2018 is finally underway in Japan, and Square Enix has brought new trailers for three Final Fantasy games that were just confirmed for Nintendo Switch in last week’s Direct. Handily, the publisher has also released English versions, so let’s give them a look.

First up we’ve got World of Final Fantasy Maxima. On top of revealing a brand new fishing mini-game featuring Noctis, we also get confirmation that Garnet (Final Fantasy IX), Cecil (IV), and Garland (I) will be making appearances. I will admit that the trailer is fairly spoiler-filled, however, so maybe skip it if you want to go into the game fresh when it launches November 6th.

Next there’s Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!, the HD remaster of the Wii’s Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon. This just gives us a better look at the mechanics, but wow is it adorable. You’ll be able to delve into dungeons with your buddies this winter.

And finally there’s Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered. There’s not much new here either, just reconfirmation that you’ll be able to take your Crystal Caravan journey online. Still, who could have seen this coming?

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
