Pre-order Sega Genesis Classics for Nintendo Switch for $29.99 at GameStop.

Well, this is a bit of a surprise. All the way back in April Sega confirmed two Sega collections. One, “Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Classics”, would be heading to PS4 and Xbox One, while the other, “Sega Ages”, would be Switch bound. The former was a more straight forward emulation package filled with dozens of games, while the latter would be handled by the retro wizards at M2, adding in new features to individually sold games.

At the time we assumed that divide would be final, but it turns out the former collection is now bound for Switch this winter.

While the collection is definitely jam-packed with content, the other versions had some issues with emulation. Here’s hoping it’s polished up ahead of the Switch launch!
