Today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate blog update has landed, giving us some extra info on the latest newcomer – Animal Crossing’s Isabelle. While the trailer shared is the same one released on the official site last week, the text gives us a better idea of how the perfect pupper will play.
Isabelle joins the battle from Animal Crossing: New Leaf! She uses various trinkets from around the village to battle. Her side special, Fishing Rod, not only allows her to snag and bring opponents closer – it can also be used as a recovery move.
While most of Isabelle’s moves have clear analogues with Villager, the Fishing Rod is distinctly different to Villager’s Side-Special, which has him riding an explosive Gyroid.
With her ability to latch onto ledges at a distance, battling Isabelle might be trickier than you think. You’ll be able to find out yourself when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on December 7th.
