Light and breezy are two words that come to mind when you think about most Yoshi series music, and that holds true for this latest track heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Coming from Yoshi’s New Island for the 3DS, it’s a fitting sound for a game that looked like it was scribbled together with crayon. Have a listen in and let those fuzzy feelings come through:

This one’s courtesy of Shota Kageyama, a composer most associated with the Pokémon series. With plenty of the more recent games under his belt, the sound definitely comes through in this Yoshi arrangement. Even if Nintendo’s number one dinosaur doesn’t always get the most attention when it comes to Smash, hearing this reminds me that there’s definitely still some love for Yoshi no matter what.
