The toughest part of a Nintendo Direct is waiting for the next one. With a game as anticipated as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate threat goes double, but it looks like Nintendo’s trying to make things a little more bearable. As a nice surprise two full matches featuring most of the newly revealed fighters have arrived.

The first is a reptilian rumble in the jungle, with Snake battling King K. Rool in a one-on-one stock match. Thanks to this we’ve got a more complete view of the croc’s moveset, with that sweet KO via Blunderbuss stealing the show. It also confirms the villain has his own Gangplank Galleon take on a Victory Theme. Also, the announcer pronounces K. Rool differently in the Japanese version!

The second is a timed, team fight: Chrom & Lucina versus Dark Samus & Ridley. This one’s a much more frantic affair, complete with items and even a Stage Morph from Arena Ferox to Brinstar to give each side a home field advantage. It also represents our fullest look at the two new Echo Fighters, and some clean Ridley footage from Nintendo themselves.

Hopefully these gameplay videos end up a more common thing. With the amount of changes coming to all members of the roster and some Final Smashes still a mystery these could be the perfect way to keep fans satisfied for the next three and a half months.
