While most people who grew up with point & click games likely gravitate towards the LucasArts and Sierra classics, there are plenty like me who grew up with the enigmatic mysteries of Broken Sword. A series by the British developer Revolution Software, Broken Sword blends slick animation with fun characters and enthralling adventures.

The fifth game, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse, was Kickstarted back in 2012 and released on PC in 2013 (full disclosure that I gave it a few pounds, it was the return of my childhood, after all!) Now, a few years later, it’s finding a new home on Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer:

As the trailer confirms, the port will feature Joy-Con and Touchscreen support, as well as unlockable behind-the-scenes videos.

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse will bring its unique brand of sleuthing to Switch on September 21st, 2018.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
