When it comes to Pokémon Red & Blue, Abra might be the earliest tricky capture in the game. These sleepy psychics can only Teleport away, leaving the battle like you’re not worth their time and giving you two options: incapacitate it somehow, or throw that Ball and hope for the best.

You won’t have to deal with that kind of stress in Super Smash Bros., but if you manage to draw it from a Poké Ball your opponents are getting taken for a ride. Abra will Teleport to them and warp them around (and off) the stage, giving you a split second to figure out your next move.

Speaking from experience, things can get pretty manic once an Abra appears, and that’s exactly what I want in a Pokémon in Smash. Look forward to it and its fellow ‘mons making all kinds of mischief this December.
