One of the biggest surprises from today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct may have been accidentally revealed early. Naturally there are spoilers from this point on, so if you want to go into today’s presentation fresh be sure to look away now!

Last night the Galaga Medley that was previously uploaded to the Super Smash Bros. YouTube channel got a suspicious name change to “Bloody Tears / Monster Dance”. Those of you who are familiar will immediately know where those tracks are from – Castlevania.

One of the most prominent rumors leading up to Smash Bros. Ultimate’s release is a playable Castlevania character, namely Simon Belmont, and this may confirm such a character is on the way. That said, there’s also the possibility the track will stand independently – after all, franchises like Afterburner, Space Harrier and Mappy have gotten tracks in Smash before without playable representation.

We’re sure to find out just what’s up in a few hours, but be prepared for a whip crackin’ good time.
