The fact that Sonic Mania has been successful enough to warrant a full, animated miniseries is one of my favorite things about its release. That goes double for it keeping the style and direction of Tyson Hesse, the key artist behind the game’s intro cutscene and trailers. Have a look at what went into putting together such a project:
