With Adeleine & Ribbon’s announced return in Kirby Star Allies, I’ve been thinking about Kirby 64 more than usual. And I think about that game a lot as is.
No other Kirby game is quite like it, but thanks to a new Switch News channel interview we might get a little taste of that style being modernized. While discussing Adeleine & Ribbon’s skills as Dream Friends, it’s briefly mentioned that some stages from Crystal Shards will be returning in some way.
The existing Dream Friends all saw unique changes to stages that emulated their debuts, but by the sound of this the Kirby 64 representation might go a little bit further. There’s no word on if Daroach and Dark Meta Knight will get similar treatment calling back to Squeak Squad or Amazing Mirror, but this next update is already shaping up to be well worth the July 27th wait.
