Just today, NISA has announced it will be not only localizing The Caligula Effect: Overdose, but that it’ll now be coming to Nintendo Switch as well. Originally released for Vita as The Caligula Effect, the role-playing game sees characters living our idealized high school lives in a virtual world. Once they learn the truth behind why they’re there though, it becomes their goal to escape and reclaim their lives.

With plenty of dungeon environments to explore and allies to recruit, fans of the genre should keep an eye out for this. If you’ve already played it on Vita, you’ll be happy to know that this remake will bring new story content, a UI overhaul, a new female protagonist to play as, and more recruitable characters. You can check it all out when The Caligula Effect: Overdose releases in 2019.
