Level 5 just shared the inaugural trailer for Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX, the first game in the series to hit the Nintendo Switch. Watch the heroine dash around London, tracking down clues in order to find her missing father with the help of her two pals in this newly put together sequence:

Fans of the series will be happy to know that several new features have been added to the Switch version of Layton’s Mystery, giving the playing experience a fresh feel:

A new, more comfortable layout will be offered through the higher quality screen. The game will also have “Nazotoki Charm” toy (made by Takara Tomy) functionality, giving players new outfits for Katrielle. And finally, a bonus will be offered for those who purchase the physical edition of the game — the loupe, a charm the protagonist uses in the anime, will have NFC functionality similar to the aforementioned Takara Tomy toys, which will ultimately provide Katrielle with a costume reflecting the color of the loupe itself.

The game originally released for mobile and 3DS last year, and is planned to arrive in Japan for Switch on August 9th for 5,980 yen. There’s no word yet on whether or not Layton’s Mystery DX will be coming to the West, but we’ll make sure to keep you updated with the latest news as soon as it becomes available — so stay tuned!
