The world’s fastest hedgehog is back in the driver’s seat, leading the pack in this upcoming and all new racing adventure. Announced earlier in the month, we now have some new gameplay footage featuring characters, tracks, and more for Team Sonic Racing.
With its focus on team-based racing, we get the whole of Teams Sonic and Dark as defined in Sonic Heroes. That means Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, and Omega all racing together across familiar areas like Planet Wisp and Rooftop Run.
While you’ll be able to take these all on solo, the game’s built around teamwork by letting you share items or boosts with each other. It gives the game its own unique identity from other karting games and Sega’s own previous Sonic-starring racers.
The game releases this winter, but those attending E3 this week and just gotta go fast, you can get yourself some early hands on time.
