The indie hit Freedom Planet is coming to Nintendo Switch this fall. Confirmed in a tweet that has since been deleted from publisher XSEED games, Freedom Planet will be playable at E3 next week before its release later this year. Confirmation of the announcement has been stated in a press release on XSEED’s official website.

Released originally on PC, Freedom Planet also made its way to Wii U in 2015. The game takes heavy inspiration from the Genesis era of Sonic games, featuring fast gameplay, anthropomorphic animals, and 2D, 16-bit gameplay. It’s also worth noting that a sequel to Freedom Planet is in development right now, featuring Sonic Mania mastermind Christian Whitehead.

No release date has been announced for the port, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!
