If you’ve been wanting some more headbanging in your rhythm games then you’re in luck, as XSEED and Marvelous Games have confirmed that Gal Metal will be getting a western release on the Nintendo Switch this fall.

Released earlier this year in Japan, Gal Metal mixes some visual novel elements with a Joy-Con controlled rhythm game where you’re expected to rock out to the beat as if playing the drums. It’s also noteworthy for being created by Tak Fujii, who you may remember from a rather endearingly infamous Konami E3 press conference about Ninety-Nine Nights II. Check out the new game at 1:18 in the video below:

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
