As more characters enter the Sanrio world, it still always comes back to the company’s most recognizable face — and that seems to be the case even in Splatoon 2. Hello Kitty has taken the first Splatfest win in what looks to be Japan’s version of our own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tournament. Funnily enough, it wasn’t popularity that brought Kitty to victory but… actual victory on both the solo and team fronts.
Cinnamoroll managed to dominate when it comes to the people’s choice, but that’s only one third of the formula. Looks like it’s back to the café for this floppy eared flouncy fellow, no matter how fulla fun he is. Hello Kitty will move on to face off with whoever wins between My Melody and Pompompurin in the next, upcoming round.
