Ever since the first Dream Friends update was announced I’ve been thinking over who should make their Kirby Star Allies debut next. After plenty of guesswork and a big, datamined hint, the guesses stopped being “who” and fell instead to “when”. No need to keep wishing on those stars though, as it sounds like they should be coming fairly soon!

The update is listed as coming this “summer”, which is just a month away, and between now and then will be E3. Star Allies made its debut at last year’s show, so it’d be all too fitting to get the news on which friends are joining Kirby next. We’ve even got a teased silhouette to go off!

Don’t let the Waddle Dee and Squishy fool you, because I have a good feeling for who this could be. If you flip the image upside down it could be Squeak Squad boss Daroach’s hat, cape, and ears creating this distinct outline and making for a great new addition. With how great the last group of friends was, this is sure to be another fantastic reason to jump back into Kirby’s latest adventure.
