Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle’s intersection of worlds and characters is mere weeks away and it looks like Arc System Works wants everyone to see who’s making it in for the occasion. After getting plenty (yet not nearly enough) of matches in over last week’s beta I’ve been going over gameplay footage and previous reveals, but here we are with some newly cut trailers to hold me over.
First up we have Persona 4’s Investigation Team partnering up with characters from outside their town of Inaba.
The way they’re interacting with their fellow fighters is just one of the many things I’m liking about BBTag, as is seeing the cast of P4 back in action. There’s even some glimpses of the planned DLC characters Kanji, Naoto, and Persona 3’s Aigis.
Team RWBY’s also getting the spotlight, going over not just the characters but also a quick look at story mode and how accessible the game’s systems are for beginners.
While it’s only Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee that are a part of the base roster, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long are slated to be free downloads for all players indefinitely. If this keeps up we’re sure to see trailers for Under Night In-Birth and BlazBlue’s own casts in similar styles leading into the game’s June 5th release.
