While playing Ōkami is an experience in and off itself, I can promise that one of the biggest treats is simply watching Ōkami. Seeing its world grow and, via your actions, flourish makes its brush-stroked beauty worth the price of admission. Today’s the game’s 12th birthday, and in celebration we have just a bit more of that splendor to appreciate thanks to some of its original artists.

 

 
Featuring each of the game’s Celestial Deities gathered together, it’s a great reminder of each step of Amaterasu’s journey through Nippon. If you’ve yet to experience its one-of-a-kind style, you owe it to yourself to either track down a copy of one of Clover Studio’s and Capcom’s finest — or grab Ōkami for Switch once it releases later this year.
