Kirby’s starred in a lot of Japanese Ichiban Kuji lotteries, but this might be one of my favorites. Called Kirby’s Dream Remix, two of the top prizes received their own spotlighted videos. One look at them and you’ll know why: they’re absolutely adorable.
You actually see both of them in this first video, but the main attraction here are the Kirby headphones. Each side is adorned with a puffed up Kirby, making it seem like he’s floating right by your ears. Functionally, there may be nothing that sets them apart, but this one’s all about style.
If you thought the host was excited in the first video, check him out dancing along to Green Greens in this second one. The Kirby and Whispy Woods clock is a great desk piece, but once they turned it around and revealed the music was coming from it I knew it’d be a prize worth going for.
It’s a shame these are only available in Japan and via lottery at that, but they’re sure to start popping up on eBay and other online retailers in due time. If you’re interested then keep an eye out: the Kirby’s Dream Remix lottery will begin in Japanese stores starting April 20th.
