UPDATE: Now the western release date has been confirmed for Mega Man X Legacy Collection – July 24th! Check out the English trailer below:

Thanks to Capcom Unity we also learn that the games will be $19.99 each or $39.99 bundled together. A physical Switch copy will also be released, but like the Classic collection, the second part will require a separate download.

This year is shaping up to be a big one for Mega Man fans, what with the animated series, the classic games heading to Switch at last and Mega Man 11 capping everything off later this year. In the mix, though, is the Mega Man X Collection, and we finally have a release date for it, at least in Japan.

First it’s clarified that, even though the collection is titled “1 + 2” both “parts” will be released simultaneously and bundled together physically. Like the release of the Classics on Switch, the first set will be on-cart while the second will require a download. Check out the new trailer for a run-down of what’s included:

At the end of the video is something new – X Challenge Mode. This features bosses from across games tag-teaming for intense bouts.

Chances are the July 26th release date will also apply to the west but we’ll have to wait and see. Keep checking back for more updates!
