Falcom’s lauded action RPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which was announced for Switch during January’s big Nintendo Direct, now has a finalized release date for the platform. As revealed via a new trailer, publisher NIS America will be bringing the game over on June 26th. Check it out:

While it is the latest installment in the Ys franchise, most every entry in the series can be played first, thanks to protagonist Adol conveniently being left at square one each time. In Lacrimosa of Dana, he must build up a settlement in a mysterious new land after shipwrecking on its shores.

We’ll be sure to bring more coverage on the game as we approach its early summer release!
